US BioEnergy Corporation (NASDAQ:USBE), a leading ethanol producer in
the United States, announced today that US Bio Marion, its Marion, S.D.
ethanol plant, began production in February. The company acquired the
110 million gallon per year (mmgy) ethanol plant while under
construction in August 2007.
US Bio Marion, located north of Marion in southeastern South Dakota, has
the capacity to produce approximately 110 million gallons of ethanol and
320,000 tons of distillers grains per year from about 40 million bushels
of corn provided by local farmers and has created nearly 45 new jobs.
