Coach Class GoFares are never more than $499* each way on this route. The previous walkup fare on this route was $1286** each way. "As we have said, GoFares will continue to appear throughout our system, and the introduction of low, simplified fares on an attractive transcontinental route like Philadelphia-San Diego underscores our commitment to changing the way we do business," said B. Ben Baldanza, US Airways senior vice president of marketing and planning. US Airways introduced the first phase of its GoFares in Philadelphia on April 29, 2004, making them available on 13 routes. In addition to San Diego, US Airways now offers GoFares between Philadelphia and Boston (introduced May 13), Chicago (O'Hare), Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, Providence, R.I., and Tampa, Fla.
