US Airways' GoFares Team Gets Ready to Tell People Where to Go
Travel Package Giveaways Are the Next Wave to Follow Up on Approximately
100,000 Meals and Gifts Already Given Away to Washingtonians
ARLINGTON, Va., June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The bright yellow bus and
Hummer SUV emblazoned with "GoFares" and filled with bright yellow-clad US
Airways employees emblazoned with "GoFares" have been spotted on the streets of
greater Washington for a week now, handing out almost 10,000 Krispy Kreme
donuts, 20,000 boxes of mints, 50,000 luggage tags, and thousands of meals, hot
dogs, ice cream bars, hats and T-shirts. But now the stakes are getting
higher, with travel packages up for grabs to the first person who spots Seth,
"The Go Fares Guy" in a series of appearances on Thursday and Friday.
The "GoFares" giveaway is part of a nine-day awareness campaign to tell
Washington-area customers about US Airways' new everyday low GoFares(R). US
Airways employees have been spotted throughout the region handing out gifts,
purchasing buckets of golf balls and area driving ranges, buying hundreds of
car washes, and treating gas station customers to free fill-ups.
Seth, "The GoFares Guy," will be in popular locations on Thursday and Friday
with packages of four US Airways tickets to go to the first person to spot him
and declare, "I love US Airways' unbelievably low GoFares!" Seth is easy to
spot, as he has vibrant yellow (and we mean yellow) hair. For extra help in
finding Seth, visit usairways.com/seth for more details, including Seth's
picture. To be eligible to win four US Airways tickets, find Seth during the
following times and locations:
Thursday, June 24 Noon-1 p.m. - Downtown, somewhere on 19th Street,
N.W., between H and M Streets
9 p.m.-10 p.m. - Georgetown, somewhere on either
Wisconsin Avenue or M Street
Friday, June 25 Noon-1 p.m. - Old Town Alexandria, somewhere on
King Street
9 p.m.-10 p.m. - Adams Morgan, somewhere on
18th Street
GoFares offer Washington, D.C.-area travelers simplified and permanent fares up
to 74 percent lower than before, for travel on 22 initial routes from Ronald
Reagan Washington National and Washington Dulles International airports. Over
100 US Airways employees, including Seth, are performing "unbelievable" acts of
kindness as part of a nine-day campaign to tell Washingtonians about their new,
permanent local GoFares. For more information or to book GoFares, visit
