TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NASDAQ: TSYS), a world leader in high availability and secure mobile communication technology, today announced the issuance by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office of patent number 7,693,981 entitled, "System and Method to Publish Information from Servers to Remote Monitor Devices."

This system and method will have particular impact on the management of enterprise level communication networks that utilize a mobile support workforce. Service and support personnel in the field need quick access to status information in order to make decisions on re-provisioning and repair. The TCS invention allows a remote client to connect to a physical Web server and compile lists of available physical components in a communications system, such as servers, protocol gateways and message routers. The user can subsequently request information from the Web server, such as log data and status, on all available components. The information can be viewed on any device that supports a browser, and if the information is provided to the remote monitor device as an XML page, a standard XML parser may be used to extract particular information from the XML page.

"The ability to present log and status information in a standard format to remote users significantly enhances the functionality of any enterprise or government IT infrastructure," said Drew Morin, chief technology officer of TCS. "As today's workforce continues to go mobile or remote, this invention simplifies getting that information to workers both when and where they need it by providing status information in a secure, browser friendly, device-independent manner."

TCS now holds 111 patents with more than 300 applications pending. To learn more about TCS patents, please visit: http://www.telecomsys.com/about/ip-licensing/patents.aspx
