NEW YORK, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Liquidity Services Inc. (NASD:LQDT) will replace The South Financial Group Inc. (NASD:TSFG) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Thursday, September 30.  The South Financial Group is being acquired by S&P Global 1200 constituent The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TSX/NYSE:TD) in a deal expected to close on or about that date, pending final approvals.

Liquidity Services, Inc. operates an online auction marketplace for surplus and salvage assets. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Internet Software & Services Sub-Industry index.
