will be participating in the upcoming NextGen Network conference in
Ljubljana, Slovenia, on January 30, 2006. Boyd will join a group of
international telecom experts on a panel titled "Finding the Right
Balance for Constructive Competition," which examines the unfolding
regulatory landscape in Central and Eastern Europe and the concerns,
barriers and opportunities faced by Central and Eastern European
telecoms in enabling a harmonious and competitive industry.
   A recognized expert on emergency communications operations and
policy, Boyd will provide information on the regulatory environment
and policy related to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and
emergency communications in the United States. Recently, Boyd provided
background and education to the Federal Communications Commission as
it developed policies regarding VoIP 9-1-1 requirements for
telecommunications companies.
