E9-1-1 Institute Honors Intrado Co-Founder for Contributions to 9-1-1; Stephen Meer Receives Institute's 2006 Industry Professi

Stephen Meer, Intrado chief technology officer and co-founder, has
been selected as a 2006 recipient of the E9-1-1 Institute's Honor
Awards. Meer was chosen as the Institute's 2006 Industry Professional,
which recognizes an individual or organization in the commercial
sector for exceptional contributions toward the advancement of
emergency 9-1-1 communications.

   Meer, a recognized expert in 9-1-1 technology and public policy,
has been actively involved with public safety communications and 9-1-1
for more than 25 years. His groundbreaking contributions to public
safety and telecommunications include development of the first
nationwide 9-1-1 data and voice network, and creation and deployment
of the strategy used to integrate wireless and VoIP communications
technology into the 9-1-1 network.

   The awards ceremony will be held in Washington, D.C., on
Wednesday, March 8.
