MCALLEN, Texas, June 14  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Texas Regional Bancshares,
Inc. (NASDAQ:TRBS) ("Texas Regional"), bank holding company for Texas State
Bank, today announced that on June 14, 2005 its Board of Directors declared a
regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.12 per share payable on July 15, 2005 to
common shareholders of record on July 1, 2005.  This dividend represents
approximately a $0.04 per share, or 44.1 percent increase over the dividend
paid for the same period in 2004.
