Ricochet Networks, Inc., a wireless Internet service provider (WISP) headquartered in Denver, Colorado and wholly owned subsidiary of Terabeam, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRBM), today announced that its portable wireless mesh network serving Denver’s greater metropolitan area remained unaffected when blizzards buried the city in snow, closing Denver International Airport, schools, offices, and stores during the height of the recent holiday season. The Ricochet® network, which has been operating since 2002 in both the Denver and San Diego metropolitan areas, serves more than 9,000 municipal, residential, and business subscribers and covers over 500 square miles. The network is a patented Micro Cellular Data Network providing high speed, wire-free Internet access that is affordable, easy-to-access, and simple to use. Plans start as low as $24.99 per month for basic Internet access and $27.99 per month including email and web hosting. “We are extremely proud of our ability to serve our subscribers without any network downtime during the recent severe weather. Our robust network infrastructure ensured that our Denver network stayed up-and-running even in the extreme weather conditions,” said Judi Evans, President of Ricochet Networks. “Due to our carrier-grade mesh architecture, we encountered no operational issues, and we passed 30% more traffic across the network we believe due to the volume of users who relied on us as their single method of communication during the storms.” About Ricochet Networks Ricochet Networks, Inc. is a subsidiary of Terabeam, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRBM). Ricochet is a leading portable Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) with operational markets in Denver, Colorado and San Diego, California.
