CS Corporation Completes Integration of Symmetricom Small Cells SoftClock with LTE Small Cell Solution

SAN JOSE, Calif. and SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Symmetricom®, Inc. (NASDAQ:SYMM), a worldwide leader in precision time and frequency technologies, and CS Corporation, Inc., the leading provider of small cell coverage devices for telecommunication carriers, today announced the integration of Symmetricom's SoftClock in its LTE small cell solutions.  Additionally, CS Corporation joined Symmetricom's SyncWorld® Ecosystem Program as a partner in the Small Cells Ecosystem category.

CS Corporation worked closely with Symmetricom on validating the compliance of its 4G LTE enterprise and residential femtocell devices with the LTE FDD standard. The company's LTE Femtocell fully supports MIMO and VoLTE, and includes both a 32-user enterprise version and an 8-user residential version.

"Precise timing is an essential element of a successful small cell network deployment to support LTE networks," said Dr. Hak-Yong Lee, CTO of CS Corporation. "As a top choice among software-based timing and frequency solutions in the industry, Symmetricom's SCe SoftClock has helped validate our 4G/LTE Femtocell technology."

A recent report by NDP In-Stat on small devices predicts that the sale of small cell devices will hit $14 billion in retail value by 2015, due to a surge in mobile data services that is placing an increasingly high level of stress on mobile networks that are designed to handle less intensive voice traffic.

"CS Corporation recognizes the critical value of small cells in an LTE deployment and is delivering best-in-class embedded synchronization technology in its solutions," said Manish Gupta, vice president marketing at Symmetricom. "We are excited to be selected as their timing and synchronization partner in this effort."
