Supertex (NASDAQ: SUPX), a recognized leader in high voltage analog and mixed signal integrated circuits (ICs), today introduced two new high voltage, twenty-four-channel analog switches -- HV2661 and HV2761. They are optimized for use in applications that require high voltage switching which is controlled by low voltage signals, as is commonly found in diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging, as well as in piezoelectric transducer drivers and printers.

The ICs are configured as eight three-to-one multiplexer and feature an operating voltage up to 200V, which enables deeper body tissue imaging capability in ultrasound applications. Low quiescent power dissipation of 10uA ensures highly efficient operation and 18 ohm switch resistance minimizes signal attenuation, resulting in clearer images.

Both ICs may be utilized with multiple combinations of high voltage supplies to accommodate different operating modes in diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging, such as +40V/-160V, +100V/-100V, +160V/-40V, (VPP/VNN). The HV2761 also features integrated bleed resistors to discharge residual DC voltages and reduce erroneous signals.

The HV2661 and HV2761 combine Supertex's proven expertise in high voltage analog signal control with our proprietary HVCMOS technology to produce very efficient analog switches for diagnostic medical ultrasound applications. These ICs deliver high resolution imaging and high channel density for greater performance in less board space.

The HV2661 and the HV2761 are available in RoHS compliant 48-Lead LQFP packaging (HV2661FG-G and HV2761FG-G). Samples are available from stock. Lead-time for production quantities is 4-6 weeks ARO. Pricing is US$10.52 each for the HV2661FG-G and HV2761FG-G, in 1K quantities.
