Super Vision Files New Patent Infringement Suit Against Color Kinetics

Super Vision International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUPVA) (Class A
Common), a world leader in solid-state LED and fiber optic lighting
systems and controls used in commercial, architectural, signage,
swimming pool and retail lighting applications today announced that it
has filed a new infringement lawsuit against Color Kinetics
Incorporated (CLRK) in the United States District Court for the
Eastern District of Texas seeking past due royalties and damages for
past and current infringement violations of its U.S. Patent #4,962,687
on "Variable Color Lighting Systems." Super Vision acquired the patent
from High End Systems, Inc. and has ownership and enforcement rights,
including the entitlement to both past due and future royalties on the
patent.
   The patent provides for broad coverage in its claims for the use
of networked, centrally controlled, addressable color changing
lighting systems incorporating pulse width modulation and variable
digital control circuitry which can vary the intensity of individual
lamp/light source elements to generate numerous colors.
