Stratex Networks Signs Multi-year Preferred Supplier Agreement with MTN

Receives Eclipse(TM) Expansion Order of $5 Million from MTN Nigeria Affiliate 


SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 19  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stratex Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:STXN), a leading provider of wireless transmission solutions, said that it had recently received an expansion order for the Eclipse Nodal Wireless Transmission system valued at US $5.0 million from MTN Nigeria. Earlier this year Stratex Networks concluded a preferred supplier agreement with the MTN Group.

The agreement recognizes Stratex Networks as a preferred supplier to MTN Group for microwave transmission equipment. The preferential supply agreement has a term of five years and allows the MTN Group operations to rapidly deploy network expansions and increase rollout schedules by taking advantage of already approved technology, and commercial terms and conditions.
