The State Auto Insurance Group (State Auto)
(Nasdaq:STFC) and its software development subsidiary, Strategic
Insurance Software, Inc., (SIS), of Gahanna, Ohio, both won
prestigious awards at the ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum held in
Las Vegas earlier this month.
State Auto received the AL3/XML Data Transformation and Business
Integration Enabler awards. SIS won three awards: Early Adopter -
Forms; AL3/XML Data Transformation and the Outsourcer Award. State
Auto and SIS associates accepted the awards on behalf of their
respective companies.
ACORD (Association for Cooperative Operations Research and
Development) recognizes industry technology leaders through the ACORD
LOMA awards. Many independent insurance agencies doing business with
State Auto are able to send new business applications and policy
changes electronically to the company, reducing redundant systems
entry work and human error.
"We've achieved great efficiency over the years by leveraging the
ACORD standards throughout our State Auto applications and SIS
products," said State Auto Director of Information Technology Doug
Allen. "These awards help validate our information technology, and
ensure it will continue to be of great benefit to agents and company
associates."
