SeraCare Announces Receipt of Notice from NASDAQ

OCEANSIDE, Calif., Dec. 23  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SeraCare Life Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:SRLSENASDAQ:SRLS), today announced that due to its failure to timely file a Form 10-K for its fiscal year ended September 30, 2005, in violation of NASDAQ Marketplace Rule 4310(c)(14), it has received a staff determination letter from NASDAQ indicating that the Company's securities will be delisted from NASDAQ at the opening of business on December 30, 2005, unless the Company requests a hearing before NASDAQ's Listing Qualifications Panel to review NASDAQ's decision to delist the Company's securities.  The Company intends to request such a hearing.  The Company's securities will remain listed on NASDAQ pending the outcome of such hearing.

The Company was advised by NASDAQ in such letter that the Company's trading symbol will change from "SRLS" to "SRLSE" commencing at the opening of business on December 23, 2005.
