Item 8.01.	Other Events.

As previously announced, on September 19, 2016, SunPower Technology, Ltd. (“ SPTL ”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SunPower Corporation, entered into a Stock Purchase Agreement (the “ Stock Purchase Agreement ”) with AU Optronics Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“ AUO ”), pursuant to which SPTL agreed to purchase all of the shares of AUO SunPower Sdn. Bhd. held by AUO. The transactions under the Stock Purchase Agreement closed on September 29, 2016.
