Building Turbines, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: BLDW) ("BT" or the "company"), a developer and manufacturer of commercial building rooftop mounted horizontal-axis wind turbines, announced its first production turbine revenue.

According to David Parker, COO, the company just received revenue from the sale of two production turbines. Thus far in 2011, BT has launched its new innovative and patented commercial rooftop wind turbine, defined, created and deployed its integrated real-time monitoring solution and initiated pilot projects with a large nation-wide retailer and several 'renewable energy demonstration sites.' The company is very optimistic in booking its first retail sale in Texas as well as having the turbine monitoring system and 'IT' infrastructure in place to handle the voluminous data pouring in from installation sites.

BT's innovative and patented turbine design is ideal for a wide variety of commercial building settings including urban environments. The turbine creates reliable, cost-effective, clean and on-site renewable electricity with little building modification required. Building Turbines' horizontal-axis wind turbines ("HAWT") easily mount onto buildings with flat roofs and turn historically dead space into power producing real estate. The uni-directional design rests on HVAC-style curbs and is mounted along the roof's edge next to the parapet wall. The turbine takes full advantage of what is called a "parapet vortex" which naturally occurs as wind accelerates up the side of a building and crests over the rooftop edge. The turbine axis is centered in this vortex capturing maximum electrical generation capability from the wind.

The BT solution is called 'distributed generation' or 'DG' because the power is made at the "end node" (on the building) for consumption by the building. 'DG' is widely regarded as a very promising part of the over-all solution to America's grid and energy problems.

"We are confident in the strength of our technology, our turbine and the soundness of our market entry approach," said Mr. Parker. "We will continue to work closely with our early adopter customers and strategic partners to deliver value to customers and shareholders, and we will try very hard to emerge as an industry leader in commercial rooftop wind."
