SafeNet (NASDAQ:SFNT), setting the standard for information security,
announced today that MSA Focus, a European-based information management
company and division of MSA Inc., Pittsburgh, has selected SafeNet’s
Sentinel RMS to license their broadcast management system, ForeTV.
ForeTV manages the scheduling and billing of content income from
broadcast sources, such as advertising and sponsorship. With clients in
more than 20 countries, MSA Focus’
applications manage a range of functions, including media management,
scheduling, advertising sales management and invoicing.
The implementation of Sentinel RMS enables MSA Focus to control how
consumers access ForeTV licenses, protecting the software from
unauthorized use and distribution. After reviewing SafeNet’s
technology and expertise in license management, MSA Focus realized how
easy Sentinel RMS was to integrate and felt it was clearly the ideal
solution.
“SafeNet’s
licensing offerings fit well with the development of our broadcast
management system, ForeTV,” said Mark Evans,
managing director, MSA Focus. “Rather than
developing a system in-house, we were able to easily implement Sentinel
RMS into our system to help us retain control of licenses, preventing
illegal use and securing our revenue streams. It was very
straightforward to integrate SafeNet’s
solution into our technology, enabling us to roll out after only one
training session.“
“With Sentinel RMS, MSA Focus is taking
control of its intellectual property and revenue by ensuring licenses
are effectively tracked and managed,” said
Gary Clark, vice president, EMEA, SafeNet. “Being
able to embed the security and licensing leaves MSA Focus free to
concentrate on providing an industry-leading broadcast management
system, while enabling flexibility in the licensing services and without
having to worry about illegal copying.”
