Saucony, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCNYA and SCNYB), a leading

accessories, today announced that Sharon A. Barbano has been promoted
to senior director of public relations for the Saucony brands,
including Saucony, Saucony Originals, Hind and
Spot-bilt.
Barbano, a key player in brand and product marketing for nearly
two decades, has appeared nationally on television, radio and print as
a marketing expert and brand spokesperson. In 2004, Barbano was tapped
by Saucony's executive management to build and manage Saucony's public
relations efforts. As director, Barbano has helped both the Saucony
and Hind brands accrue numerous product awards, including Health
magazine's "Best of Fitness 2005" award and numerous editor's awards
from Runner's World, among others.
Barbano is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Women's
Sports Foundation and recipient of the Women's Sports Foundation
President's Award. She was one of a handful of women invited by
President Clinton to a White House reception honoring women in the
business of sport.
A former world class distance runner who participated in the
Olympic Marathon Trials, Barbano is a 2005 winner of the Blackburn
Challenge, the nation's most prestigious open ocean kayak race.
