rue21, inc. (Nasdaq:RUE), a leading specialty apparel retailer, announced the opening of their first rueGuy stores located in Bay Shore, NY, Harlingen, TX, and New Boston, OH. The approximately 6,000 square foot stores are the first of seven rueGuy stores slated to open across the U.S. during the month of August. The Company is on target to open approximately 20 rueGuy stores by the end of the year.

The rueGuy store format features an expanded guys department and more selling space than a traditional rue21 store, providing the male consumer with a broader selection of product and new category opportunities. Inspired by celebrities and other top brands, the fashion assortment delivers trend right merchandise at every day great value. The rueGuy stores feature open ceilings, a new layout, and design elements selected to appeal to a male customer while complementing the look and feel of the girls store. The innovative signage and lighting elements, polished floor and new fixtures provides the entire store, both the girls and guys areas, with a dynamic and fresh new look.
