Rainbow Technologies to Demonstrate RFiKey at RSA 2004 Conference
New RFiKey Combines Contactless Access Control Technology With Robust Two-Factor
Authentication in Industry's First Single Device for Physical Access and Data
Access
IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rainbow Technologies, Inc. ,
a leading provider of digital content and transaction security for the Internet,
and software protection, SSL VPN and secure remote access solutions, will
demonstrate the RFiKey(TM), the industry's first USB key token that combines 125
kHz proximity access control technology with powerful two-factor authentication
security for fine-grained data access control at the RSA 2004 Conference in San
Francisco.
The RFiKey provides employees with physical access to secure locations within
their company and fine-grained access control to business critical data and
applications. A user simply waves the RFiKey in front of the HID door reader
and a backend credential checking system unlocks the doorif access is
authorized. When the user gets to his or her desk, the user inserts the RFiKey
into the PC's USB port and logs into the corporate network using a PIN. If
employees need a physical access device to move about inside the office, they
need to bring the RFiKey with them. Once the key token has been removed from
the USB port, the session terminates and locks out insider security threats
seeking to access corporate-critical data.
The RFiKey will be demonstrated at booth # 1628 at the Moscone Center during the
RSA 2004 Conference.
