Pediatric Services of America, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSAI)
announces today the appointments of Phyllis Yale and Daniel J. Kohl,
PSAI's President and CEO, to the Company's Board of Directors. Both
directors were elected by an overwhelming majority of stockholders at
the Annual Meeting of Stockholders held today and will serve for a
three-year term expiring at the 2009 annual meeting of stockholders.
PSAI's Board of Directors consists of seven members, five of whom are
independent directors.
Ms. Yale is a partner with Bain & Company, where she provides
corporate strategy consultation in the healthcare sector, since 1982.
Ms. Yale has served on the Board of Trustees of the Bridgespan Group,
a consulting and publishing firm serving the non-profit sector, since
2000. In addition, she has served as a director since 1999 and sits on
the Nominating Committee of the United Way of MassBay and has been a
director of the Boston Chamber of Commerce since 2002.
"Phyllis is an outstanding addition to our Board," said Daniel
Kohl, President and CEO of PSAI. "With her significant experience in
healthcare, coupled with her outstanding strategic perspective, she
will make a substantial contribution to PSAI's Board of Directors. We
are delighted she is joining us."
Ms. Yale received her Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree from Harvard
University in 1978, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School in
1982. She is a frequent speaker on topics relating to health care,
strategy development and organizational development, and she has been
published in the Harvard Business Review.
PSAI provides comprehensive pediatric home health care services
through a network of over 100 branch offices in 19 states, including
satellite offices and branch office start-ups. Through these offices
PSAI provides a combination of services, including pediatric private
duty nursing (PDN), pediatric day treatment centers (PPECs), and
respiratory therapy and equipment services (RTES). Additional
