Pediatric Services of America, Inc., d/b/a PSA HealthCare (Nasdaq:
PSAI) announced today at its 2007 Annual Growth Conference that it
has selected the March of Dimes as its designated national charity in
the fight to reduce premature births. PSA is kicking off the
company-wide WalkAmerica campaign with a commitment to match up to the
first $10,000 raised by employees participating in WalkAmerica events
during 2007. Each of PSA’s more than 50
locations across California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia,
Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North
Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and
Washington, will have an opportunity to participate.
“We are excited to partner with the March of
Dimes in this very worthwhile endeavor,” said
Daniel J. Kohl, President and CEO of PSA. “We
believe their goals are closely aligned with PSA’s
corporate goals and those of every one of our caregivers throughout the
country – to enrich the lives of medically
fragile children and their families.”
The March of Dimes Prematurity Program is a multimillion-dollar
research, awareness and education campaign to help families have
healthier babies. The WalkAmerica campaign is one of their most
successful fund-raising events in support of the Prematurity Program.
The March of Dimes is a perfect complement to PSA’s
mission of providing outstanding care for the thousands of premature and
medically fragile children born everyday. Many of PSA’s
pediatric patients have medical issues as a result of complications from
prematurity.
PSA provides comprehensive pediatric home health care services through a
network of 54 branch offices in 18 states, including satellite offices
and branch office start-ups. Through these offices PSA provides a
combination of services, including pediatric private duty nursing (PDN)
and pediatric day treatment centers (PPECs). Additional information on
PSAI may be found on the Company's website at http://www.psahealthcare.com.
