Top BearingPoint Sales Executive Joins Plumtree as Vice President
of Worldwide Sales
Ira Pollack Brings to Plumtree Solution-Selling Expertise and Experience with
Large-Scale Sales Organizations
SAN FRANCISCO, April 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Enterprise Web leader
Plumtree Software today announced the hiring of Ira Pollack as vice president
of worldwide sales. A 20-year veteran of the technology industry, Mr. Pollack
was most recently vice president of North American sales for the consumer
industrial technology business unit at BearingPoint, managing an annual quota
of $500 million.
"Ira's experience scaling a field organization around a solution-selling
methodology is the perfect complement to our 'No Empty Portals!' applications
strategy," said Plumtree CEO John Kunze. "Already, Ira has adapted this
methodology to our market and personnel as part of a very successful North
American training event. Ira has also jump-started new efforts to grow our
pipeline, and focused the sales team on the business value that our software

While at BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Consulting, Mr. Pollack pioneered the
consultancy's first sales organization, with his group's quota growing over
seven years from less than $50 million to over $500 million. During his tenure
at BearingPoint, Mr. Pollack developed and sold solutions for a wide range of
industries including electronics, software, life sciences, consumer packaged
goods and industrial manufacturing.
