Equal Access Health Reveals Lawsuit Filed Against Care Entree ARLINGTON, Texas, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Just days after the Attorney General of Texas filed a lawsuit against Care Entree, a discount medical savings card provider in North Texas, Equal Access Health revealed it had already filed a lawsuit against The Capella Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Care Entree on February 18 making similar accusations. Precis (NASDAQ:PCIS) is the parent company of both The Capella Group, Inc. and Care Entree, Inc. Equal Access Health, which has been one of the top private label resellers of the Care Entree product line since 2003, revealed the lawsuit after the Attorney General made the public announcement of its suit against Precis last Thursday. "Originally we have been trying to keep this to ourselves in hopes we could work things out with Care Entree," stated CEO Brady Speers. "However, it became clear that both Equal Access and the Attorney General's office felt the same way about the level and quality of service Care Entree provides and we needed the truth to be told that we filed our lawsuit months before the Attorney General did. We believe we have lost literally thousands of customers as a result of the items noted in our petition. This has cost us millions of dollars and has been hurtful to our customers. We have been asking them to improve for nearly two years and our patience as expired." Both parties have been in negotiations for weeks trying to solve the case outside of litigation. Efforts have been thwarted, however, by other circumstances and have stalled, according to Mr. Speers. Equal Access Health no longer markets the Care Entree product line. "Our goal is to provide our clients with the most powerful healthcare alternative out there. We offer an exclusive emergency room benefit, a max-pay prescription card, network rebates and other perks that no other discounter does," Mr. Speers said. "We are even in the process of offering actual insured benefits for those looking for more traditional approaches to healthcare." Equal Access Health, Inc. provides affordable non-insurance healthcare solutions for those who are under-insured, those who no longer can afford the rising cost of traditional healthcare, and for those who are uninsurable altogether, by offering incredible savings on services such as medical, hospital, dental, prescription drug, vision care, hearing, chiropractic and more. Equal Access Health, based in Arlington, Texas, has provided healthcare for over 20,000 Americans since 2002. DATASOURCE: Equal Access Health, Inc.
