SEATTLE, May 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Continental Bank, the bank subsidiary of Pacific Continental Corporation (Nasdaq: PCBK), today announced that it was recognized as one of Washington's top corporate philanthropists in the Puget Sound Business Journal's 2015 Corporate Citizenship list. The company placed in the category of organizations with $20 million or less in local company revenue.
"It is an honor to be recognized for something we take very seriously – giving back to our community," said Nazim Karmali, Pacific Continental's greater Seattle market president. "On behalf of each and every Pacific Continental team member, we are truly appreciative of this recognition."
To be considered for the list, companies were nominated for their giving in 2014, and a panel of judges reviewed nominations to select companies that have been stellar corporate citizens.
Pacific Continental Bank was recently honored by the American Bankers Association with its Community Commitment Award for employee volunteerism. Pacific Continental was one of only six banks from a national field of more than 500 institutions to be so honored.
