Overnite Transportation Company Named South Carolina's Best
COLUMBIA, S.C., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Overnite Transportation Company, one
of the nation's leading less-than-truckload carriers, was awarded first- place
honors at the South Carolina Trucking Association's Annual Safety Awards
Banquet held here.
The company was named recipient of the state's top safety honor for 2004 in the
Industrial Safety General Commodities category for companies with 501- 1,000
employees.
Overnite also received two second-place awards for General Commodities carriers
at the SCTA's safety awards ceremony on March 15. The first was for Local
General Commodities carriers traveling 2-5 million miles last year and another
went to Overnite for the General Commodities Combined category for carriers
traveling 10-15 million miles in 2004.
