Hill, who has been driving for Overnite for seven years, outscored the
competition to take the winner's trophy in the twins division.
The victory earned Hill, a road driver based at the company's Aurora, Ill.,
Service Center, a trip to Tampa, Fla., in August, where he will compete with
other state titleholders from across the country in the 2005 National Truck
Driving Championships.
To date, 16 Overnite drivers have qualified for the National Championships. All
competitors, in both state and national events, are rated on their driving
skills, scored on a written test and a personal interview, and must have
excellent safety records.
On May 16, UPS (NYSE:UPS) announced a definitive agreement to acquire Overnite
Corporation for $1.25 billion.

interregional and long-haul services, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Overnite
