Outlook Group Corp. (Nasdaq:OUTL) today announced that
it has signed a 10-year agreement with Madison Direct Marketing, Ltd.
of Stamford, Connecticut. Outlook Group's services will include all
insertion and mail coordination for Madison Direct's marketing
programs as well as short-run printing and inventory management.
Madison Direct uses life-stage databases and marketing vehicles to
help leading consumer companies reach their target audiences. Based on
currently expected volume, sales under the contract are valued at an
estimated $1.5 million per year.
In connection with the agreement, Outlook Group has purchased a
one-of-a-kind Buhrs custom intelligent collator. The specialized
equipment performs high-volume match-mailing functions that include
making the envelope, selecting and inserting the correct pieces and
personalizing each mailing. At 90 yards long, the equipment is
believed to be one of the longest multi-station intelligent insertion
collators in the world. The collator is scheduled to be installed in
January, with production expected to begin in February.
"The 10-year agreement with Madison Direct is one of the longest
agreements in our history. In addition to the other services we are
providing, Outlook Group will now have two intelligent collators that
will expand our direct marketing capabilities. Our investment in this
new equipment, combined with our existing capabilities, including
personalization, insertion, overwrapping, printing, list processing
and database management, further strengthens our position as a
single-source provider of direct mail products and services. This
contract is a significant opportunity for Outlook Group in terms of
the contract's length and size, and also offers the opportunity to
work with Madison Direct on possible joint marketing and sales
efforts," said Joseph J. Baksha, president and chief executive officer
of Outlook Group.
"We chose Outlook Group because the company's full-service
capabilities and teamwork approach are a perfect fit for our business.
The efficiency and high level of service Outlook Group provides will
enable us to fulfill our clients' needs for high quality and on-time
performance. We look forward to working with Outlook Group on our
current programs and in growing both of our businesses," said Chris
Hulse, president of Madison Direct Marketing, Ltd.
