Item 8.01 of the Current Report on 8-K filed by Finisar Corporation on July 24, 2008 (the “Original 8-K”) is hereby amended to refer to a stockholder meeting date of August 28, 2008 as set forth in the press release filed as Exhibit 99.1 to the Original 8-K, rather than August 28, 2009, as indicated in the Original 8-K.
