Opsware (NASDAQ:OPSW)
Historical Stock Chart
From Jun 2019 to Jun 2024
Opsware Inc. (NASDAQ: OPSW), the leading provider of Data Center
Automation software, today announced that Network Computing named
Opsware Process Automation System the Editor’s
Choice solution in this month’s comparative
review of process automation products. Opsware Process Automation System
received the award based on its comprehensive feature set, scalability
and synergies across servers, network devices, applications and storage.
Of the 16 different IT Process Automation features evaluated, Opsware
achieved the highest score, outperforming Opalis Integration Server and
RealOps AMP.
Network Computing judged process automation or run-book automation (RBA)
products based on their usability, deployment, auditing and reporting,
and pricing. In referring to Opsware, Network Computing states that “Opsware
has a big advantage with its visually guided process engine. Opsware’s
ability to produce a set of extremely polished documents that described
all our processes was impressive.” Network
Computing further praises Opsware, saying “Opsware’s
business-intelligence dashboard is the leader of the pack. Incident,
problem and change-management visibility are included out-of-box. Useful
reports for MTTR trending, cumulative ROI, most frequent resolution
flows and incident alerting are all there.”
“Opsware Process Automation System stands out
as a leader with a good balance of features and scalability,”
said Michael Biddick, Contributing Editor at Network Computing. “Since
Opsware also has configuration-management tools, there are some
compelling synergies with configuration management across the network,
application and storage infrastructure. Opsware’s
documentation ability and visually guided processes also are key
differentiators for environments that require these features and provide
full transparency to IT operations.”
Network Computing further endorses the technical superiority of Opsware
Process Automation System, saying “Opsware
provides a good balance of integration support and pre-built workflow
for most enterprises. Its pre-built application and network-specific
workflow can be a big help to organizations getting started in process
automation.” Network Computing cites
additional benefits, including “One unique
feature we really liked is the ability to assign a dollar amount to
individual workflow-process components. This is useful in an environment
where IT charges for IT services.”
“Network Computing’s
real world comparative review clearly demonstrates the technical
superiority and unmatched performance of the Opsware Process Automation
System,” said Tim Howes, EVP of Research &
Development and CTO at Opsware Inc. “Process
automation, which Network Computing identifies as important to reducing
costs and complexity of IT systems, is at the center of Opsware’s
zero latency approach to data center management. This outstanding
achievement furthers Opsware’s leadership in
IT automation, placing us a giant step ahead of the market for breadth
and depth of automation capabilities and overall value delivered to
customers.”
