O2Micro(R) International Limited (Nasdaq:OIIM), a

Communications markets, received 45 claims under United States patent
number 6,941,405 for its System and Method for Offloading
Converter/Controller-specific tasks to a system microprocessor.
This patented invention provides an offloading system for protocol
control and conversion information within microprocessor-based
systems. Applications include connectivity controllers and other
peripheral devices in microprocessor-based systems, such as notebook
PCs.
