Northwest Airlines Reports September Traffic

EAGAN, Minn., Oct. 4  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ:NWAC) today announced a systemwide September load factor of 81.0 percent, 1.8 points above September 2004.  Northwest flew 6.01 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and 7.41 billion available seat miles (ASMs) in September 2005, a traffic increase of 4.5 percent and a capacity increase of 2.1 percent versus September 2004.
