On October 30, 2008, Nuvelo, Inc. issued a press release regarding Nuvelo’s financial results for its third fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2008. A copy of Nuvelo’s press release, titled “Nuvelo Reports Third Quarter 2008 Financial Results,” is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
