Netsmart Expands in New Areas with Four 'Firsts' 


GREAT RIVER, N.Y., Aug. 30  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Netsmart Technologies,
Inc. (NASDAQ:NTST), a leading supplier of enterprise-wide software for health
and human services providers through its wholly owned subsidiary, Creative
Socio-Medics Corp. (Creative), the award of four contracts with a total value
of $965,000.

Creative's CEO, Jerry Koop, stated, "As our product offerings continue to
expand and are enhanced, it allows Creative the ability to move more quickly
into new and different markets."

The new contracts cover licensing, services and first-year maintenance of
Creative's Avatar suite of products.  The new accounts are as follows:

John T. Mather Community Hospital, Port Jefferson, NY: First contract with a
community hospital with a behavioral department. Purchased Avatar CWS,
Creative's electronic health record.

Community Residences, Arlington, VA: First community mental health center in
Virginia. Purchased Avatar PM and Avatar CWS.

Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, Billings, MT:  First account in the State of
Montana. Purchased Avatar PM, Avatar CWS, Avatar MSO, and Infoscriber
e-prescription software.

Washoe County Department of Social Services, Reno, NV: First county contract in
the State of Nevada. Purchased Avatar MSO, management of services operations.
