Netsmart Will Implement Its Avatar Suite of Products 


GREAT RIVER, N.Y., July 15  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Netsmart Technologies,
Inc. (NASDAQ:NTST), a leading supplier of enterprise-wide software for health
and human services providers through its wholly owned subsidiary, Creative
Socio-Medics (Creative), today announced that Creative has been awarded a
$1,830,000 18-month contract by the Georgia Department of Human Resources,
Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Addictive Diseases
(MHDDAD). The contract includes software license, professional services, and
maintenance agreements to install the Avatar suite of human services software,
specifically the Avatar practice management, computerized physician order entry
(CPOE), and electronic health records.

Georgia's public mental health system has been recognized nationally for its

recovery. Peer support centers are part of the system of Medicaid billable
services, and certified peer specialists complete an extensive training program
to learn how to use their knowledge and skills in a variety of service
settings.

The Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of MHDDAD services the
entire state. It is made up of 13 Regional Boards, public and private community
providers, specialized services for children and adolescents, and eight state
hospitals. The state hospitals range in size from 100 beds to 1,500 beds.
