Netsmart Technologies Signs $1,350,000 Multiyear Contract With New York State
Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services
Netsmart will Implement Its Avatar Electronic Record for all 13 Addiction
Treatment Centers across the State in a ApplicationService Provider Environment
GREAT RIVER, N.Y., March 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Netsmart Technologies,
Inc. , a leading supplier of enterprise-wide software for health and human
services providers through its wholly owned subsidiary, Creative Socio-Medics
Corp. (Creative), today announced that Creative has been awarded an initial five
year contract starting at $1,350,000 by New York State's Office of Alcoholism
and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) Addiction Treatment Centers (ATC's). The
contract covers licensing, services and maintenance of Creative's electronic
health record, the Avatar CWS, in an Application Service Provider (ASP) delivery
environment. This is the second contract Creative has with OASAS. The other
contract is for the New York State Methadone Registry.

substance abuse and addictions marketplace. We are pleased to be awarded this
contract with the New York State ATC's as we believe such sale demonstrates
marketplace satisfaction with the quality and delivery options of our software

OASAS directly operates 13 Addiction Treatment Centers (ATCs) throughout New
York State, which provides a range of programs to addicted persons and their
families. The ATC's are an agency of the New York State Office of Alcoholism and
Substance Abuse (OASAS) whose mission is as follows:
