Meadow Valley Corporation (NASDAQ:MVCO) today announced that its
construction services subsidiary, Meadow Valley Contractors Inc., has
promoted Area Managers Robert W. Bottcher and Robert A. Terril to the
new positions of President, Arizona Area, and President, Nevada Area,
respectively. Meadow Valley also announced that Chief Operating Officer
Alan Terril, 66 years old, has retired as planned, effective April 20,
2007.
"We thank Alan Terril for his 15 years of dedicated service to Meadow
Valley, and for his many significant contributions to our success. We
will miss his wise advice and counsel, and we all wish Alan the best in
his retirement," said Chief Executive Officer Bradley Larson.
"In view of the growth and increasing complexity of our construction
services and construction materials businesses, and the outstanding
opportunities for further growth we see ahead of us in each of our
primary market areas, we have decided to distribute Alan's
responsibilities among Meadow Valley's CEO, CAO and the two new Area
Presidents for Arizona and Nevada, with each Area President reporting
directly to the CEO of Meadow Valley Corporation. We are pleased to
announce that Robert Bottcher and Robert Terril have been named to fill
these new posts. We are confident that they have the experience,
dedication and energy required to effectively manage Meadow Valley's
expanding operations in these markets," Larson added.
Robert Bottcher, 50 years old, joined Meadow Valley in 1995 and was
named Arizona Area Manager in August of that year. Bottcher has more
than 26 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry. He
has a bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Arizona State
University.
Robert Terril, 48 years old, joined the Company in 1996 as Utah Area
Manager, and was named Nevada Area Manager in 2001. His experience spans
nearly thirty years in the heavy construction industry. He attended
Dixie College and Brigham Young University.
