MEADOW VALLEY CORPORATION (NASDAQ:MVCO) announced today that it
has been awarded two new construction contracts valued at a total of
approximately $14.3 million.
Meadow Valley was awarded an $8.1 million contract by the Arizona
Department of Transportation to perform grading and paving and to
improve SR 85 west of Buckeye, Arizona to a divided highway.
The Company also was awarded a $6.2 million contract from the City of
Glendale, Arizona to widen 59th Avenue, and construct a new
equestrian/pedestrian overpass and a new entrance to Thunderbird Park.
Approximately $11 million of this work is expected to be completed by
December 31, 2007, with the balance carrying forward into 2008.
