Micromuse Inc. (Nasdaq: MUSE), the leading provider of
ultra-scalable, realtime business and service assurance software,
today announced that it will take part in an interoperability
demonstration at the US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation's (USGIF)
GEOINT 2005 Symposium in San Antonio, Texas on October 31 through
November 2, from 12 - 2:30 pm CST. Micromuse's Netcool(R) solutions
offers the industry's only integrated fault, performance, and security
management solution, as well as the fastest, most scalable engine for
assurance of mission critical operations.
"We're pleased that Micromuse will participate in this important
demonstration of how the National System for Geospatial Intelligence
is being transformed into a seamless, interoperable IT environment,"
said Chris Carlson, Micromuse Director of Technical Services. "Using
Netcool solutions, we will show the ability to link diverse sources of
geospatial information and intelligence data with the underlying
technology to determine mission supportability and the mission impact
of service effecting events."
The exhibit will showcase interoperability between 16 different
vendor technologies, including Micromuse's Netcool solutions that
provide realtime situational awareness capabilities to help unite
mission and systems readiness within the geospatial domain. Netcool
will demonstrate its interoperability with other technologies to
assure mission success by pinpointing process bottlenecks and exposing
unsupportable mission tasks. In addition, through integration with the
Satellite Tool Kit from Analytical Graphics Inc., Netcool solutions
will demonstrate immediate three-dimensional visibility of the USGIF
battle space and allow the user to identify communications gaps and
plan alternative measures to cover these gaps.
"This collaboration will provide evidence of just how far
technology interoperability has evolved within the larger geospatial
intelligence community," said Chris Tucker, President and CEO, IONIC
Enterprise, and USGIF Board Member. "The participating organizations
will demonstrate how they can work together using frameworks of
well-known and standardized interfaces to understand, exchange and use
data and services to more effectively meet the Geospatial Intelligence
mission."
