Cooperative Relationship Enriches Management of Data Communications
Network, Fixed Network, and Optical Transmission Network for Service
Providers Worldwide
Micromuse Inc. (Nasdaq: MUSE), the leading provider of

today announced that Huawei Technologies has joined the Micromuse
Alliance Program(TM) and will immediately provide pre-integration
between its data communications equipment, fixed network equipment,
optical transmission equipment, and network element management systems
and Micromuse's Netcool(R) solutions.

As a member of the Micromuse Alliance Program, Huawei Technologies
will deliver pre-integration for its network equipment and network
element management system devices, enabling seamless interoperability
with any Netcool-managed network for realtime, end-to-end fault and
performance management. The combination will enable network operators
to deploy new services, technologies, and equipment quickly to
maximize investments. Together, Huawei Technologies and Micromuse
provide value to wireline operators who want to leverage their
investment in existing IT infrastructure and who are seeking a
complete solution for the end-to-end management of their network
infrastructure to support new services.
