Micromuse Inc. (Nasdaq: MUSE), the leading provider of
ultra-scalable, realtime business and service assurance software,
today announced that NetDesign has implemented a solution based on
Micromuse's Netcool(R) software to provide enhanced availability and
assurance for its outsourced converged communications services.
NetDesign is a leading supplier of integrated IT, video and telephony
communications systems, consultancy, training, and outsourcing for
Danish enterprises and institutions.
"NetDesign secured a long-term outsourcing contract to supply
converged communications services to a large Danish municipality,"
said Bent Lytsen Technical Director for NetDesign. "Micromuse's
Netcool-based technology allows us to quickly and cost effectively
provide an outsourced service that has enhanced service level
agreements, as well as performance, availability, and service quality
guarantees. The flexibility of the solution ensures that we are able
to extend our service management and visualization backbone to our
core infrastructure, giving us an end-to-end view of outsourced
services alongside our internal processes and services."
NetDesign implemented an end-to-end service assurance and
consolidated operations management platform based on Micromuse's
Netcool technology to provide a centralized, realtime, Web-enabled
service level view. The Netcool-based solution helps NetDesign to
assess and monitor the performance, availability, and status of mostly
Cisco equipment in its infrastructure and to quickly identify and
prioritize service-affecting infrastructure faults before they impact
customer service or breach service level agreements.
"Micromuse's powerful Netcool solutions can be deployed rapidly to
help service providers such as NetDesign quickly roll-out new services
and provide the highest levels of service availability, performance,
and quality," said Richard Lowe, Micromuse's Senior Vice President,
Sales, Technical and Business Operations, EMEA. "The flexibility and
scalability of Micromuse's Netcool solutions ensures that companies
can grow their business, diversify their services and, or segment
their customers while continuing to assure their services and maintain
their operational costs."
