MRO Software (Nasdaq: MROI), the leading provider of
asset and service management solutions today announced results from a
newly released market research report by ARC Advisory Group showing
that the Company extended its worldwide market share leadership in
enterprise asset management (EAM) software during 2005. It marks the
fourth consecutive year in which MRO Software has captured the analyst
group's top market position.
The report, "Enterprise Asset Management/Computerized Maintenance
Management Systems (EAM/CMMS) Solutions Worldwide Outlook," names MRO
Software as the overall global market leader, and cites other wins in
numerous regional, industry and asset-type market segments, including:
-- North and Latin America
-- Process Manufacturing
-- Chemical, Oil and Gas
-- Government
-- Transportation
-- Facilities Management
-- Fleet Assets
-- IT Assets
According to the report, MRO Software improved its market position
thanks partly to its integration of IT asset and service management
into the company's Maximo Enterprise Suite (MXES). "Its acquisition of
MainControl provided the company with an IT asset management solution
that was integrated into its Maximo solution in 2005. MRO Software
focuses on strategic asset and service management, asset-centric
procurement, and an ITIL compliant service desk for production,
facilities, fleet and IT asset management. Maximo enjoys major brand
recognition and also supports an important services practice for many
strategic partners including IBM which promotes the combined EAM and
ITEAM focus," the report said.
The study continues ARC's annual tracking of the market for
EAM/CMMS and Information Technology Enterprise Asset Management
(ITEAM) solutions. Market shares and forecasts were estimated for 2005
based upon available financial reports and 2004 base year supplier
inputs. It echoes similar market studies from analysts such as the
Gartner Inc. and the META Group who have consistently named MRO
Software the industry leader year to year.
"ARC Advisory's report is one of the most exhaustive studies of
the EAM industry. Our consistent market leadership shows that our
strategy and go-to-market approach is helping to solve our customers'
asset and service management requirements," said Patricia C. Foye,
executive vice president, Global Marketing & Alliances of MRO
Software. "We look forward to building on our strong market presence
with MXES."
