MatrixOne Issues Update on Financial Review

MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONEE), a leading provider of
collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for the
value chain(TM), today announced that it is requesting an additional
extension from the NASDAQ Listing Qualifications Panel for returning
to compliance with NASDAQ listing requirements. The Company will
provide prompt public disclosure after the Panel issues its decision.
There can be no assurance that the Panel will grant the Company any
additional extension. The Company's common stock will continue to
trade on the NASDAQ National Market while the Panel considers the
Company's request. The Company will not complete and file its periodic
reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the quarter
ended April 2, 2005 and the fiscal year ended July 2, 2005 by
September 30, 2005 as previously stated by the Company.
