MCI Completes Acquisition of Totality

ASHBURN, Va., Sept. 13  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MCI, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCIP) today announced the completion of its acquisition of Totality Corp., a privately-held, San Francisco-based provider of remote managed services for business-critical applications and infrastructure.

This acquisition, a significant step toward expanding MCI's managed services capabilities, enables MCI to satisfy the growing demand from its enterprise and government customers to manage a wider array of IT functions end-to-end.  With the addition of Totality, MCI is enabling the remote monitoring and management of applications whether they are hosted at MCI's colocation centers or at customer locations, further extending MCI's managed hosting portfolio.  MCI will now be able to offer its customers more flexible hosting options ranging from colocation services to Enterprise Hosting services to outsourcing of application management services.
