Dr. Bielinski Santos, Field Development and Technical Services Manager for MBI’s Southeastern U.S. and Caribbean territories, serves on the executive committee of the Latin America Ag Educational Network that organized the symposium. Titled, “1st Technical Symposium on Research and Modern Agricultural Production Techniques,” the event will occur annually in Latin America, and this year is being hosted on September 2, 2017 at the "Escuela Agricola Panamericana at Zamorano, Honduras," an important and renowned agricultural university in Central America and the Caribbean. The meeting will focus on current and important topics for agricultural production in the region that would broadly benefit from the adoption of modern research and technologies. The Latin America Ag Educational Network’s primary goal is to open a constant educational channel to communicate relevant research results beyond scientific conferences.
The talks are being delivered by nine experts in each field from seven countries. There will be also graduate student presentations in the afternoon session. The topics include:
Over 200 people have already RSVP’d for the event, and nearly 300 attendees are expected.
MBI is also helping to organize a symposium on Biopesticides and Bio-inputs for Sustainable Agriculture on October 12, 2017 in Chile.
