Lizhan Environmental Corporation Announces Closing of Initial Public Offering

Lizhan Environmental Corporation ("Lizhan" or the "Company")

 (NASDAQ: LZEN), a China-based supplier of synthetic leather and other fabrics manufactured from recycled leather waste, announced today that it has closed its initial public offering ("IPO"), raising gross proceeds of $10.0 million less the underwriter's discount and expenses. The Company has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 375,000 ordinary shares to cover over-allotments. The company's common shares commenced trading on NASDAQ under the symbol "LZEN" on November 19, 2010.

Maxim Group L.L.C. acted as the sole book-runner, and Aegis Capital Corp. acted as co-manager, for this initial public offering.
