LRAD Corporation (NASDAQ: LRAD), the world's leading provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs), today announced that the LRAD 2000X was named as the "Best Long Range Acoustic Hailing Service" in the Government Security News ("GSN") 2014 Airport, Seaport, Border Security Awards Program. The LRAD 360X Mobile Mass Notification System was also named as a finalist in the "Best Mass Notification Solution" category.

With a maximum output of 162dB (measured at one meter) and directed coverage up to 5,500 meters, the LRAD 2000X ensures that operators instructions will be heard.
	
	Also recognized was the standard LRAD 360X Mobile Mass Notification System ("Mobile System"). This unit is a fully integrated, self-contained, ruggedized trailer that uses a telescoping/folding mast to deploy an LRAD 360X to reach a maximum height of 30 feet, with area coverage up to 5.3 kilometers. The system was developed to provide emergency warnings and communications for a number of applications including natural disasters such as tornados, hurricanes, flooding and wildfires. The Mobile System can be transported where it is needed and fully deployed in minutes.
