QUALCOMM Congratulates Leap's Cricket(R) Service on the Rollout
of its Cricket Clicks(TM) BREW(R)-Based Services
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- QUALCOMM Incorporated
(NASDAQ:QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA)
digital wireless technology, congratulates Leap Wireless International, Inc.
(OTC:LEAP) (BULLETIN BOARD: LEAP) a leading provider of innovative and
value-driven wireless communications services, on the rollout of Cricket
Clicks(TM), its portfolio of downloadable wireless products and services based
on QUALCOMM's BREW solution for its operating subsidiary Cricket
Communications, Inc. Cricket's new BREW-based service will offer its customers
access to enhanced wireless data applications including ring tones, wallpapers,
games, entertainment, sports information, weather, entertainment guides, e-mail
and other personal and business content.

Cricket Clicks(TM) was first made available in select markets in June 2004 and
is currently available in Pittsburgh, Pa.; Buffalo and Syracuse, N.Y.; and
Dayton and Toledo, Ohio. Cricket plans to make Cricket Clicks(TM) available to
all of its customers by 2005. Prices range from $1.50 to $7.99 per
application.
QUALCOMM's BREW solution provides products and services that connect the mobile
marketplace value chain, which includes publishers, developers, content
providers, device manufacturers, operators and consumers.
Publishers and developers worldwide are generating revenue from BREW-based
applications and content, and 27 manufacturers have offered more than 150
