Liberty Bell Bank (Nasdaq:LBBB) today announced it has received
regulatory approval to establish a branch office to be located at the
Town Square Shopping Center located at Union Mill Road and Elbo Lane in
Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
This will be the fourth full service banking center for Liberty Bell
Bank. Liberty Bell Bank opened in August 2003 with an initial office at
the Liberty Bell Bank Plaza on Route 70 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and
added a branch in Moorestown, New Jersey in 2004 and one at its Marlton,
New Jersey headquarters in 2005.
“This is a very exciting time for Liberty Bell
Bank and a fine way to celebrate the fifth anniversary of our September
2003 opening,” said President and CEO Kevin
Kutcher, who added, “especially demonstrating
the strength of Main Street community-based banks as compared to the
dire headlines surrounding the Money Center Banks and Wall Street
Financial Centers.”
Liberty Bell Bank Chairman William Dunkelberg stated, “This
is a fine day for Liberty Bell Bank and one that demonstrates the
vitality of Liberty Bell Bank and our prospects for continuing growth
and a bright future as community banks continue to show the value of
fundamental banking practice. We are especially pleased that our
regulators supported our request, affirming that our bank is in fine
shape to support the growth of this proposed branch.”
Liberty Bell Bank anticipates opening its new Mount Laurel office in
January 2009, if not before year-end 2008, following renovations to the
existing space.
Liberty Bell Bank is headquartered in Marlton, New Jersey and reported
total assets of $149 million at June 30, 2008.
